The weather forecast for the weekend is a little dismal, chilly and damp, but its perfect weekend to go to the market, get some good fresh fruit, some green stuff, some salmon and then go home and cook. I recommend getting some fresh peaches, serving them over ice cream with my raspberry-peach jam (heat it up a little first) for a terrific peach Melba. Got a grill master in the family? — plop those peaches on the grill for a few minutes first for a little depth of flavor.
New flavors this week include that raspberry-peach, a mess of apricot chutney, a some peach with lime, and strawberry-raspberry balsamic vinegar. I’ll be at both Issaquah and Fremont.
I’m sorry I missed Fremont last week, but I was overwhelmed with fresh fruit and other obligations.
